I am an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis. My group works on various aspects of arc magmatism with a focus on plutonic systems. Our work emphasizes the study of both active and extinct arc magma plumbing systems, the integration of processes at various scales, and the combined use of field and analytical techniques. Two new publications: Ratschbacher et al., 2024 investigates how the chemical and isotopic characteristics of an intrusive complex are created during emplacement, crystallization and cooling and Sosa et al., 2024 studies the Fe isotope systematic of Adak lower crustal xenoliths and what it can tell us about arc magma differentiation in lower crust- including single-crystal amphibole Fe isotope compositions and Fe3+/FeT ratios.
